The City of Charleston's housing authority is taking flack for electing to spend $620,000 in stimulus money flagged for maintenance on high end materials.
Hop over to The Post and Courier for the story.
I don't know that you can fault the housing authority for using the materials as the cultural and political elite almost certainly would not have allowed any less, but it's certainly a less-than smart move to use stimulus cash for it during trying times.
