Sanford says he's ready to sue over Obama's Yucca Mountain decision

Governor Mark Sanford is ready to engage in legal action against President Barack Obama over Obama's decision to ditch the plan to permanently store thousands of tons of nuclear waste in Nevada's Yucca Mountain facility.

The plan to send the waste out west is a plan that has been 23 years in the making and has eaten up over $10 billion in the process.

Sanford is peeved that state residents continue to pay money for the storage facility through monthly utility bills and is concerned about the 4,000 metric tons of nuclear waste temporarily housed at the Savannah River Site and elsewhere in the state.

This sounds like quite the ultimatum to me, but Sanford has claimed that if the President doesn't change his mind before the end of the month, he'll pursue legal action.
