Students face unique challenges when voting

Voting laws are nuanced, and sometimes obtuse. They also vary state-to-state. It's time the process was standardized.

Charleston City Paper's Greg Hambrick on the problems of student voting:
President-elect Barack Obama praised the work and determination of young voters, saying in his acceptance speech that they had "rejected the myth of their generation's apathy."

But, for some students, that work and determination took a lot more than just checking a box.

In related news, a new Facebook group is pushing for early voting in South Carolina. Early voting would help alleviate many problems faced by student voters.
