An intense thunderstorm led to a 26-car pileup on I-26 near Summerville that had traffic stalled for hours in both directions.

But most intense was the stalling in the westbound lanes where traffic was completely stopped and motorists stood outside their cars in a line that stretched upwards of two miles.
The Post and Courier has a nice write-up on the incident.
Live 5 News has a sizable photo gallery of contributed photos and a nice video report.
