The latest from Twitter (live updates)
A series of wrecks has choked traffic on I-26 eastbound near Ashley Phosphate Road, and I-526 west near the Don Holt Bridge.
The Post and Courier has an early write-up that does a good job explaining what's happened.
Traffic is improving on I-26, but conditions on I-526 near the Mount Pleasant and North Charleston area remains bad as of 9 a.m.
Be sure to take a look at the S.C. DOT traffic cameras before getting on the road.
