Four James Island apartments were damaged after a fire started in one and spread to three others through a shared attic space at 292 Fleming Road.

A number of outlets covered this, but Live 5 News probably has the best coverage, detailing how the fire spread, saying:
[Jessica] Henry lives in apartment A, 2 units away from where she says the fire started. While the apartments have fire walls to keep fire from spreading, the attics do not have that protection.

...

11 fire trucks responded, within minutes, and a short time later the fire was under control. But not before Henry's home was destroyed.

No one was injured in the fire. If you want to help out any of the families displaced ABC News 4 has info.
