During a budget approval meeting on Wednesday, the Patriots Point Development Authority promised to take a turn to more aggressive marketing in the upcoming year to maximize profits.

The 2011-2012 budget year begins July 1st. By the authority's calculations, they estimate $9.3 million in total revenue with $8.2 million spent in expenses.

Patriots Point Development Authority Executive Director Mac Burdette stated that the main difference between this budget and last year's budget is the increased amount for salaries, which will help to complete Patriots Point's staff.

Charleston Regional Business Journal has a great in-depth report about the budget plan and what Patriots Point will do to increase revenue. Read it here.
