Beginning on Tuesday September 6, 2011, construction crews will begin the final paving of the Harrelson Boulevard and Highway 15 Intersection at the entrance to the Myrtle Beach International Airport.

Preparations and paving will take approximately three days. During the paving operations motorists can expect traffic shifts and flagmen to direct traffic.  All provisions are being made to keep any delays crossing the intersection to a minimum.  After paving is complete, striping and signalization will be completed. Harrelson Boulevard Extension is expected to be complete by January. The former "overflow parking" lot on the northeast side of the airport has been closed to all new parking in order to make way for the last stretch of Harrelson Boulevard construction.
