Update June 19: As you might guess the leak has since been fixed.

Update, 4:11 p.m.: The Post and Courier reports that King Street is shut down to vehicle traffic from Calhoun to Market streets while Wentworth is shut down from Meeting to St. Philip streets.

Also, repair time has been pushed back to 6 p.m.

First reporting: A SCE&G crew is working to repair a gas leak near the intersection of King and Wentworth streets.

To avoid any traffic snarls, it has been advised to bypass the area, if possible, until 5:30 p.m.
