New dean named for Charleston School of Law

Abrams, the new deanCharleston School of Law has named Andy Abrams, who has served as interim dean since January, the school's new dean.

Charleston School of Law reports via a press release:
"Andy Abrams, with his vast experience as the General Counsel to the College of Charleston, the Provost of the College, an enormously popular law professor, with a post-graduate degree in law, is exactly the right person to lead the Charleston School of Law as its dean," said former College of Charleston President Alex Sanders, who chairs the law school's board of directors. "He was the unanimous choice of the Board, the faculty, and the search committee."

Abrams, a professor of law at the school, said he looked forward to serving as the school's second dean. Last year, Dean Richard Gershon stepped down to return to teaching tax law.
