Pedestrian education effort promotes safety

Highway 17 seems to be a hotbed for incidents between cars and people and the South Carolina Highway Patrol is getting proactive in lessening those numbers.
An educational campaign is starting in the Grand Strand where state troopers are working to inform the walking public of pedestrian laws. They're out and about, talking to folks, and considering creating an informational pamphlet to be distributed to hotels. You can find more information in this WMBF report.
