The most recent unemployment numbers are out for South Carolina, and the state, along with Charleston County, are continuing to see their numbers dip.

January 2011 unemployment for S.C. was 10.5%, compared with 10.9% in December 2010.

The Charleston region saw a larger drop in its jobless rate than the state as a whole, falling to 8.1% from 8.7% in December 2010.

The Post and Courier has the first report out on these numbers. You can give the brief writeup a read here or check out the full numbers for yourself here.
