Unemployed South Carolinians granted 13 week benefit extension

The S.C. Employment Security Commission is taking claims for an extra 13 weeks of checks from the unemployed who have exhausted their benefits.
In addition to the 13 week extension, South Carolinians can get another seven weeks of benefits because of the state’s high unemployment rate.
