Weekend full of fall festivals

This weekend, September 27 through 30, are full with festival opportunities across the Grand Strand.

St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church is hosting their annual Greek Festival beginning on Thursday, September 27 at 11 a.m. and concluding on Sunday, September 29 at 7 p.m.  The event will include a celebration of Greek culture through food, music, and activities, including church tours.  For more details about specific hours, the location, and more, visit their website.  You can also refer to an article we wrote about the festival and view a map here.

The Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival is at Huntington Beach State Park beginning at noon on Friday, running until 5 p.m. on Sunday.  It will feature more than 100 artists, as well as food and music.  Daily admission is $6 for adults and a multi-day pass is available for $10.  Those 15 and under are free.  Park admission is free during the days of the festival.  No dogs or other pets are permitted.  Check out their site for more information.

Valor Park at Market Common will be the site for their 5th Annual Oktoberfest Friday through Saturday.  There will be German music, food, and fun for the whole family.  German beer will be tap for just the adults.  The festivities begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and conclude at 5 p.m. on Sunday.  Click here for the specifics about the schedule. 

On Saturday, September 29, 2012, North Myrtle Beach will host their annual Irish Italian Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Beyond great food, entertainment, and craft vendors, the event will include a spaghetti eating contest and Lego building contest.  Check out the City's site to learn more.
