After much debate about this year's Memorial Day Bike Fest, the town council of Atlantic Beach passed the motion to allow the event to take place.

Despite the strapped-for-cash town only making a profit of $18,000 during last year's Bike Fest, the city says they will go forward with a "least minimal cost" approach. According to WPDE News Channel 15 there is some debate as to how much the town made, Councilman Jake Evans claims that he knows the town made a $52,000 profit and wonders if the money was mismanaged or stolen.
