Update 10/3/12: Michelle Battaglino of Pawleys Island tried for years to get on 'Wheel' and last night held a watch party at her house for all her friends and family to see her dream come true.

Battaglio beat out her compitition but failed to win the bonus round. Head over to WBTW News Channel 13 to read their write-up, watch the broadcast and find out just how much money Battaglio came home with.

Update 9/18/12: Candace Dewberry made her national TV debut last night on the Wheel of Fortune.

We're not sure if her and fellow North Myrtle Beacher Vanna White got a chance to chat or not but we do know that Dewberry won $1,000 and was quite proud that is was from actually solving the puzzle.

Hop on over to WBTW for their coverage of Dewberry's 15 minutes of national fame.

Update 9/17/12: After nine hours in line and two days of auditions, North Myrtle Beach resident, Candace Dewberry, made the cut and will appear on Wheel of Fortune tonight.

You can read all about her and her experiences, both in the audition process and taping in this Sun News article.  The show airs on WBTW at 7 p.m.

First report 3/9/12: Wheel of Fortune's Wheelmobile will be at the Coastal Grand Mall this weekend looking for fun, talented folks interested in auditioning for the show.

I spent many an evening in front of the TV watching North Myrtle Beach's own Vanna White flip letters, as my dearly departed grandparents shouted answers at the screen.  My grandma was amazing y'all, amazing, and if she were still with us today, you can bet she'd be at the Coastal Grand Mall tomorrow trying to win her a spot on The Wheel.  It is in her spirit that I urge you, my fellow community members, to try your luck at the Wheelmobile.

This event takes place Saturday, March 10th and Sunday, March 11th from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.  Interested viewers can fill out an application, win prizes and possibly participate in a simulated version on the show on stage.

For more information, please see the Coastal Grand Mall website, here.
