Update April 6:

Amen Street Fish and Raw Bar is on point.

First the Charleston City Paper and now Charleston Magazine has posted a rave review gushing over the goodness at the newest seafood restaurant to hit East Bay Street.

Offering classic favorites and some creative new dishes, Amen Street is getting it right.

First reporting:

The Charleston City Paper’s Jeff Allen headed out to the new Amen Street Fish and Raw Bar and has given it his seal of fresh seafood approval – and then some.

Calling Amen’s fried seafood plates the best on the peninsula, the calamari a unique experience, the interior classy and cool, and judging from his outright enthusiasm to return it sounds like Amen is here to stay.

The Lower East Bay restaurant is located at 205 East Bay Street, giving Upper East Bay’s Pearlz a real run for their money.

Go read the review and see for yourself.
