Shem Creek will not get funds from PRC

The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission has denied a $3 million investment in the Shem Creek area that would sustain the beloved creek and marshland surrounding.

Apparently, the commission decided not to invest the earmarked tax funds before their scheduled meeting with the Shem Creek council, because they want to use the money for other areas East of the Cooper River.
