Two newcomers and two incumbents are competing for three open seats on the Sullivan's Island Town Council.

Election day is May 3rd, and newcomers Hartley Cooper, a self-employed real estate agent, and Mark Howard, who runs the landscaping company Aqua-Terra, will face incumbents Jerry Kaynard and Mary Jane Watson.

If you plan to vote, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd, inside of the Sullivan's Island Elementary School. The school is located at 2015 I'On Avenue.

The Post and Courier has an article with background on the candidates as well as their responses to questions regarding land management, conservation, parking plans, and rebuilding the island's elementary school; read it here.
