S.C. Ethics Commission showing much inconsistency

The S.C. Ethics Commission has been looking into Gov. Mark Sanford and recently said the Attorney General Henry McMaster was wrong to take several-thousand dollars in donations from lawyers he gave no-bid contracts to.

But things go awry if you look back a little bit in time: The Columbia Star is pointing out that in the past few years the Ethics Commission has been far less willing to make sure no-bid contractors aren't also being solicited to give money back to those who gave them contracts.

The paper points out that Columbia's mayor received $16,500 in donations from no-bid contractors.
