Retail stores work to find “solutions” for customers


North Charleston, S.C., (Jan. 27, 2012) -  AT&T today announced the appointment of a new manager at its 3032 W. Montague Avenue location.


James Lanier has more than four years of communications and sales experience and will develop and lead a team of about 10 professional retail consultants. He is responsible for creating an extraordinary customer experience and sharing AT&T’s wireless and wireline products and services.


“AT&T has an amazing lineup of devices and plans to keep our valued customers connected, entertained, informed and organized at home and on the go,” Lanier said. “There’s never been a more exciting time to be at AT&T, and I really enjoy working with North Charleston customers to meet their personal and professional needs.”


Laurent Therivel, AT&T’s vice president and general manager of Mobility and Consumer Markets in the Carolinas, manages company owned retail stores across North Carolina and South Carolina.


“Our goal is for every customer who walks into one of our stores to walk out so impressed with our customer service they’re willing to recommend us to their friends, co-workers and loved ones,” he said. “We’re not just selling great products and services. AT&T retail managers like James Lanier are working to understand our customers’ needs and finding a solution that helps them accomplish their goals.”


Lanier and his team are on hand to demonstrate AT&T’s cutting edge lineup of wireless devies, including *4G smartphones like Motorola ATRIX™ II and Samsung Galaxy S™ II, as well as GPS tracking units like Garmin’s GTU™ 10 and Jawbone’s Jambox™ Bluetooth speaker.


The W. Montague Avenue location also can assist customers with information about AT&T’s wireless and wireline networks. Between 2008 and 2010, AT&T invested more than $675 million in its wireless and and wireline networks in South Carolina. In the first half of 2011, it invested more than $125 million in the networks.
