Charleston Cinco De Mayo Festival

Come celebrate Mexican heritage and culture during Charleston’s fifth annual Cinco de Mayo Festival. Brand new to this year's festival will be a salsa competition, where both amateurs and professional dancers will be invited to participate. There will be sign up opportunities at the festival and the winner will receive $200 as a prize at the end of the night. The festival will take place at the Visitors Center Bus Terminal located in downtown Charleston on Saturday May 1st, 2010 from 7-11 p.m. Sample local Mexican cuisine, margaritas and Mexican beer and the best Latin American entertainment Charleston has to offer! Admission is $8 dollars in advance and $10 dollars at the door, and free for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at www.charlestoncinco.com. A portion of the proceeds from the festival will go to benefit The Ryan White HIV Care Program at Roper St. Francis Healthcare.
