Horry County schools embrace technology in yearly conferences

Horry County schools are getting in on the tech scene with two events coming in April.

On April 4, 2012, Horry County Schools is holding a technology fair at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, showcasing the tools used in teaching and learning.  For more information, check out the Horry County Schools Technology Fair page.  There you can see the list of categories, judging criteria, rules, and the submission form.  The competition is open to grades K-12 and all student and teacher submissions are due by TKTKTKT.

in our facility. A key feature is showcasing a Robotic Competitions by the Engineering class, which has won several competitions at FIRST events around the state.

We are confident that this will showcase tech events at the primary/ middle/high school level, and ultimately interest in placing a FIRST event in Myrtle Beach.  If you are interested in learning more, I can give you the contact info on the Robotics Competition.

Another event that we have hosted for several years, is Edtech, sponsored by South Carolina Association for Educational Technology, showcasing technology at the primary and higher education levels.
