New ITEA Charleston Chapter Sponsors National ITEA Technical Review and Golf Tournament

The Annual International Test and Evaluation Association (ITEA) Technology Review will be held July 20 - 22 at the Charleston Marriott Hotel. The conference offers several tutorial sessions and presentations on rapidly expanding topics such as Cyber Security, Human Systems Technology, Data Fusion, Unmanned Systems and Instrumentation. The Tech Review provides a forum for attendees to learn about and discuss the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities in emerging technologies that impact testing. 

Among the distinguished keynote speakers scheduled to attend are RADM Michael Bachmann, USN Commander, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command; Mayor R. Keith Summey of North Charleston; Mr. George Rumford, Program Manager Test and Evaluation/Science and Technology Program, Test Resource Management Center, and Mr. Bob Baker, Deputy Director, Plans & Programs Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E).      

            The newly formed ITEA Charleston Chapter is coordinating with the ITEA National Association in planning this special event. President of the new Chapter, Mr. Philipp Charles (VP of Strategic Initiatives, Imagine One Technology & Management, Ltd.), comments “We are very excited to get the local chapter off the ground and running and look forward to making a great contribution locally in Charleston as well as making an impact nationally.”  The Charleston Chapter will also be sponsoring the Inaugural ITEA Golf Tournament on Tuesday, July 20, 8:30 A.M. at Patriots Point Golf Course, Mt. Pleasant, SC.  This is their first fundraiser to raise scholarship money for local engineering candidates. Participants do not need to be attending the ITEA Workshop to play in the tournament.
