Sixth Annual Amazing Health Expo at Trident Tech
Roper St. Francis Healthcare brings back community health fair
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Mar. 6, 2013) – Roper St. Francis Healthcare is pleased to host the Amazing Health Expo for the sixth year. The Expo brings physicians and medical experts together to present information on various relevant health issues that affect our community.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, Mar. 14, at Trident Technical College, 7000 Rivers Ave., Building 920, in North Charleston. More than 20 RSFH physicians and medical experts will discuss and answer questions on nine important topics including heart, gastrointestinal, vaccination, diabetes and bone and pelvic health information.
Attendees will also be able to browse the health fair throughout the day.
The event is open to anyone in the community for a $10 fee that includes breakfast, lunch and snacks. On-site parking is available and free of charge. Pre-registration is required – to make a reservation, call (843) 402-CARE (2273).
Registration, the health fair and breakfast begin at 8 a.m. Health and wellness screenings and educational material will be available, in addition to three main sessions:
• Session 1: Heart Health for Life; Tummy Troubles; Don’t Catch It, Don’t Spread It
• Session 2: Let It Flow (vascular and vein health); Pelvic Health; Empowering Your Health
• Session 3: Diabetes University; Looking Great at Any Age; What’s New in Joint Replacement
