First Report: Local roller hockey enthusiasts feel like the City of Myrtle Beach may not be upholding their word to keep the existing rink at Grand Park near Market Common open.

They have started an online petition here that states their concerns including the bid process for the construction.

Moving the roller hockey rink has always been a part of the construction plan. But locals want to make sure the existing rink stays open during the Phase Three construction. WMBF had a report last year on the Phase Two and Three construction plans where the roller hockey players expressed concerns. Read that here.

Crabtree Recereation Center gave me the number to John Danford of Myrtle Beach Xtreme Hockey, but I wasn't able to reach him at this time.
