Battery beats RailHawks, now tied for first place

A 2-1 victory over the Carolina Railhawks has moved the Charleston Battery back into a tie for first place.

“We really fought hard for three points tonight,” said Battery head coach Mike Anhaeuser. “The first 45 minutes were fantastic, and we buckled down in the second to grind out the win.”

In all some 4,054 came out to Daniel Island for the Friday night game.

The Battery plays again at home on Thursday, July 30, hosting the Austin Aztex at 7:30 p.m.
