College of Charleston sailing victorious in SAISA/MAISA Regatta

The College of Charleston sailing team picked up its ninth victory of the fall season by winning the home-hosted SAISA/MAISA intersectional regatta held over the weekend at the J. Stewart Walker Sailing Center on the Cooper River.

The Cougars placed two teams in the top three including an 86-point first-place finish and 101-point third-place finish. They defeated second-place Washington College (95) by nine points followed by crews from Clemson (127), Georgia Tech (132), Auburn (202), Emory (222) and American (234).

CofC will resume competition this weekend at the Atlantic Coast Dinghy Championship hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy on November 13-14 in Annapolis, Maryland, and the Atlantic Coast Women's Championship hosted by Eckerd College on November 13-14 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
