College of Charleston has announced that women’s soccer coach Kevin Dempsey has hired former C of C student-athlete Sydney Strong as an assistant coach.

Strong, a four-year starter on the Cougars women’s soccer squad, was named to the All-Southern Conference and All-SoCon tournament teams in both 2002 and 2004. She has spent the last four years as a coach for the Mount Pleasant Soccer club.
