The Florida Gators took the first game of the SEC Championship series last night, slipping by the South Carolina Gamecocks 3-2.
The game was played in front of the third-largest crowd recorded in Carolina Stadium's history.
Florida scored three runs in the third and fourth innings and three Gator relievers combined to limit the Gamecocks to just one run in the final 5.2 innings. The series resumes tonight at 7 p.m. and will be televised live on FSN and can be heard on the Gamecock Radio Network and at GamecocksOnline.com.
