With the five-month NBA lockout coming to a close, former College of Charleston standout Andrew Goudelock is finally on his way to beginning his professional basketball career with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Goudelock, the Cougars' career scoring leader and second round pick by the Lakers, is only the second Cougar in the history of the school to ever be drafted into the NBA.

His excitement was put on hold, however, when NBA owners and the NBA Players Association could not agree on salaries. While waiting out the lockout, Goudelock has remained in Charleston and continued taking classes to work toward his degree in sociology.

The Post and Courier recently caught up with Goudelock and has an article in which he shares his thoughts on his transition into the professional sports arena; read it here.
