Video from the 2011 Charleston Kite Race

The first-ever kiteboarding regatta in South Carolina was held May 14th, 2011 on Sullivan's Island station 28.5. The event flew under the radar for most, but luckily, we were forwarded a very cool video that brings you right into the action.

Spearheaded by local kiteboarder Hunter Stunzi, the South Carolina Maritime Foundation, Charleston Harbor Fest, North Kiteboarding and Oli Nah, Air sponsored the very first officially sanctioned Kite Race here in Charleston. A total of 25 riders competed, with six making it three rounds to the final heat with Trey Sedalik taking first place.
