Circuit City's stores in North Charleston and Mount Pleasant have run out of luck and are being closed. The company's gone bankrupt and all of its stores in the U.S. are being liquidated.

You know what that means, don't you? Yeah, liquidation sales. -- Those are expected to begin Saturday and end sometime in March.

Update January 17: The Post and Courier has an updated write-up, but there's not too much new in there.

Oh, and if you're worried about you warranty, fret not. From the company's FAQ:
Q: Are Circuit City’s extended warranties affected by the liquidation?

A: No. Circuit City Advantage Protection Plans (extended warranties) have been backed by third-party independent companies for more than 15 years and as a result, are not impacted by Circuit City’s closing.
