The long saga of the Mount Pleasant poker ring that was busted in April 2006 appears to be drawing to a close.

Hoping to sway the judge that their activities were legal, the five remaining defendants got World Poker Tour co-host Mike Sexton testify that poker is a game of skill, and not of chance.

Mount Pleasant's town attorney argued that the case was more about illegal gambling and running a gambling house than whether or not it was a game of skill.

It's a rather interesting story -- go read what The Post and Courier has to say about it.

A decision is expected on Thursday.
