Stimulus bill not tooled to target hardest-hit states

The stimulus package will be distributed equally to all states as opposed to benefiting the states that need it most like South Carolina.

Here's a word from the Charleston City Paper regarding the little impact SC will feel from the package:
A review of the state-by-state estimates for job growth under the stimulus plan compared to the number of unemployed in each state shows the states with more than 9 percent of the workforce out of a job will barely make a dent in their overall unemployment due to the stimulus.

The bill is projected to provide jobs for nearly 25% of our unemployed, while helping some less-impacted states to resolve up to 80% of their unemployment.
