Scorching temps expected the next couple of days (update: relief on the way)

Update July 13: We've got another heat advisory today but the National Weather Service is forecasting chances of thunderstorms.

There's a slight chance today but tomorrow is looking likely. In the meantime, make sure you occasionally check on people that are shut in their homes alone and the elderly.

First Reporting: The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory in effect for Tuesday where the heat index is expected to hit over 105 degrees.

They expect the heat to hit us in the afternoon and pretty much the same is expected for Wednesday. It goes without saying you should avoid spending too much time outside in the afternoon hours this week. That gardening can wait until the weekend.
