Beethoven's Ninth - The Long Bay Symphony

The Long Bay Symphony featuring Carolina Master Chorale, Coastal Carolina University Choirs and vocal soloists.

Experience one of the epic masterpieces of all time, Beethoven’s Ninth, a pivotal work in music history that exploded the technical and emotional boundaries of the classical symphony.  Chorus and soloists present Friedrich Schiller’s poem “Ode to Joy,” an expression of Beethoven’s own faith in universal brotherhood. Also, from modern French composer Maurice Ravel (best known for his Bolero) is a poignant Neo-Baroque suite that pays homage to friends killed in World War I.
