Earth Day events along the Grand Strand

Monday, April 22, 2013 is Earth Day and the Grand Strand is playing host to several celebrations and activities this weekend.

The Earth Day 5K kicks off at McLean Park in Myrtle Beach at between 2nd Avenue S and S. Oak Drive at 8:30 a.m. Same-day registration begins at 7:30 a.m. 

Earth Day at the Bay is celebration with family-friendly activities, entertainment, and exhibitions that is free and for all ages. It will be held at Ocean Bay Middle School, off International Drive in Carolina Forest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

The Earth Day Music Fest is a two-day family-friendly festival starting in Saturday at the House of Blues at Barefood Landing at 4 p.m. and on Sunday at the Boathouse at 1 p.m. You can check out all of the details here, and on their Facebook event page here.
