"A Chess Player" a Film Starring Myrtle Beach Area Native To Premier At The Market Common

Monday, May 12, 2014, will mark the premier of the film “A Chess Player", starring North Myrtle Beach native Chip White, who is the brother of “Wheel of Fortune” star Vanna White. The film was made by Shea Sizemore, who is a resident of Charlotte, NC and got the funding for the feature by rasing money on KickStarter

The film will be shown at 7 p.m. at Stone Theater in The Market Common, located at 4002 Deville St., in Myrtle Beach.

“A Chess Player” is described as both a story about searching for an identity, as well as fathers and sons and the redemption that can be found at the end of very toxic relationships. It also features underground basement tournaments, where a crowd of onlookers watch, shout and pass money as two people play against the clock in a game of chess.
