Culinary Expansion at New Gio’s Italian Kitchen

Since Dave and Jodi Giorlando moved their restaurant, Gio’s Italian Kitchen, from a small location in a Pawleys Island strip mall to a new freestanding building, everything is bigger and better.

The décor is cozy and welcoming and reminiscent of a well-heeled yet casual Italian farmhouse with wood floors, muted sunshine, brick walls and earthy colors. The main dining room has tables and banquette seating, and a separate bar to the left of the entrance offers bar stools with curving wood backs and cocktail tables by windows. Outside is a shaded patio beside a small lawn, and soon that will be the site of live entertainment.
