Horry County police are investigating after a man shot another man who he said robbed him at gunpoint in his home. The gunshot victim told authorities he was robbed and shot while at the man’s apartment to buy drugs, according to a police report.

Officers were called about 10:45 p.m. Sunday to an apartment complex at 4838 Innisbrook Court, off Gardner Lacy Road, where a 23-year-old victim reported the incident.

The victim told police that a friend who was visiting came in and left, saying he needed to get something from his car. The victim said when he returned, he a man wearing a mask and holding a gun was with him. The victim said his friend also pulled out a handgun and told him to open the door to the apartment, police said.
