Donations poured in as the community rallied to help the victims of the Windsor Green fire on March 23, 2013. The X Sports Mall acted as a donation and distribution site, and that effort is continuing this week.

In the early days after the fire, the X served as the location where folks wanting to donate could bring their clothing and household items, as well as the spot where victims could go to pick anything they needed, free of charge. Because there was such a huge response to the need, a community sale was held this past weekend, selling the excess items with all proceeds going to help the victims. The distribution and sale will continue throughout the week.

Victims who are still in need are welcomed to attend and continue rebuilding. The community sale of clothing will also continue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The X, located at 568 George Bishop Parkway in Myrtle Beach, is also asking for volunteers to help with the sorting and moving of the items.
