Myrtle Beach Ranks No. 2 For Yahoo Travel Destination Searches in 2013

The Myrtle Beach area proved to be a popular travel spot to search for. On Yahoo’s list of the top 10 travel searches of 2013, Myrtle Beach ranked second.

“This ranking goes to show that the Myrtle Beach brand continues to grow in awareness and popularity for vacationers all across the country,” said Brad Dean, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. “We’re so thankful that our wonderful visitors continue to recommend our beach destination to their friends and family.”

The Yahoo ranking was just the latest in a string of national recognitions the Myrtle Beach area has received in 2013. USA Today selected Myrtle Beach as having one of the top 24 boardwalks for food in the U.S., while Samantha Brown, who is well known for her segments on The Travel Channel, ranked Myrtle Beach No. 1 on her list of Best Travel Spots.
