Two Horry County women charged after police chase from North Carolina to Conway

Two Horry County women were charged with running from police after a chase began Monday night in North Carolina and ended in Conway, authorities said.

Seewillow Jackson, 23, of North Myrtle Beach and Shatisha Jackson, 32, of Atlantic Beach were each charged with failure to stop for blue lights and siren, according to police. Seewillow Jackson also was charged with simple possession of marijuana and an unrelated failure to appear.

Both women are being held at J. Reuben Long Detention Center pending bond hearings, according to jail records.

Deputies with the Columbus County, N.C., sheriff’s office tried to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation, but the driver refused to stop, according to a police report. Deputies pursued the vehicle, a silver Kia, into Horry County on S.C. 905 towards Conway.
