A Virginia motorcyclist involved in a crash in North Myrtle Beach died from injuries days after the incident, authorities said.

Terrence Lee Kane of Virginia was recently identified as a victim who died from injuries suffered during a crash, according to Tony Hendrick, deputy coroner with Horry County.

Kane was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center after he was involved in a crash about 10:45 p.m. May 21 near 31st Avenue North in North Myrtle Beach, Hendrick said.

Kane died about 10:50 a.m. May 26 from head injuries he suffered during the crash.

Hendrick said authorities, including the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Multi-Disciplinary Accident Investigation Team, and the North Myrtle Beach Police Department, are still investigating the incident.
